Places to Eat and Drink

This is not an extensive list of places to eat it will be amended and improved as I get to know the local pubs and restaurants. Guest recommendations are always welcome.

Within Walking Distance

There are a number of bars and cafes between Yew Tree House and the Leisure Park in Brean a number of them close and/or have limited opening out of season.

  • Sandy Glade. 5 minute walk through the campsite behind Yew Tree House has a café bar that serves drinks and meals and has a daily special. I haven't tried the café yet but guest have had reasonable meals there.
  • Beach Bar. 15 minutes walk up towards Brean on the left hand side. Bar and food, tables inside and out. Serves curries, chilli steak and chips. Quick friendly service.
  • The Tavern, 15 minute walk, part of the Leisure Park complex serves food and drinks.

Burnham on Sea - 5 minute drive
Burnham on Sea is a five minute drive from here and is full of restaurants and cafes. There are a variety of places to eat, cafes and pubs serving fish and chips, steak and chips, roasts etc. A French restaurant, The Mitre has been recommended to me by guests, there are three Indian restaurants at this end of town and I have had good reports from all 3. There is also a Chinese restaurant at this end of town and a pizza restarant at the Somerfield end of town. The Hungry Horse on the outskirts of town, Wetherspoons opposite Somerfield and Dunstan House have all been recommended to me as good value food. Just outside Burnham on the A38 is the Lemon Tree at Sanders Garden World which provides good value tasty lunches.
